Michael L McNulty


MSG Michael McNulty was killed in action in Qaim, Iraq on June 17th 2005. McNulty enlisted in the Army after graduating from high school in Elgin, Ill., in 1986. After a brief separation of service he re-enlisted in 1994 and served with the 327th Infantry Regiment at Fort Campbell, Ky., and later in Hawaii as a rifle squad leader, instructor and reconnaissance squad leader. He successfully joined Delta in 2000. Later earning a spot on a recce/sniper troop.

McNulty, who was posthumously promoted to master sergeant, earned at least 20 medals during his career, including three Bronze Stars, the Iraq Campaign Medal and the Humanitarian Service Medal.

Mike is buried in Section 60 in Arlington National Cemetary near his teammates and friends Steve Langmack, Robert Horrigan and Ivica Jerak.
